Grief can be lonely.

Not because people don’t care, but because life keeps moving while you’re still trying to understand what happened.

If you’ve lost a spouse, partner, parent, child, sibling, friend, or someone who mattered deeply, you’re not alone.

This site was created by Dana Berry after the death of his wife, Cynthia “Cinci” Turnbull, who lived with breast cancer for eighteen years.

Here you’ll find books, workbooks, and educational resources designed to help you navigate life after loss — one day, one decision, one step at a time.

You’re not alone in this.

Meet Dana

I never planned to work in grief support.

In 2020, I retired to become a full-time caregiver for my wife, Cynthia “Cinci” Turnbull, as she lived with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

After her death in 2025, I began searching for practical ways to navigate life after loss. That search became the foundation for The Companion Series.

Today, through writing, speaking, and educational resources, I help invisible grievers feel seen.

Meet Cinci

Everything here exists because of her.

Professor. Artist. Mentor. Optimist. Broncos fan. Purple enthusiast. Friend.

Most importantly, someone who saw people.

Begin Where You Are

Whether your loss happened recently or years ago, there is no right way to grieve.

There is only your way.

And you’re not alone in this.
